Set in Amsterdam’s former public library in the heart the canal belt, lifestyle hotel Andaz Amsterdam Prinsengracht - a concept by Hyatt offers elegant design rooms with free WiFi. The Jordaan area and Museumplein are within a 15-minute walk and Negen Straatjes is just 120 metres away.

The hotel''s interior is designed by famous Dutch designer Marcel Wanders and the rooms and suites feature views over Amsterdam’s canals, the hotel’s landscape garden or the interior lobby. All rooms feature a seating area with flat-screen TV, a minibar with complimentary drinks and snacks and coffee/tea making facilities. The rooms feature an open bathroom concept, with closed shower and toilet, but an open vanity table. Bathrobes and free toiletries are provided.

The on-site restaurant Bluespoon serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, as well as a Sunday brunch. Dishes are European with a creative twist and all ingredients are local and seasonal, often picked from the hotel’s herb and vegetable garden during the summer. There is also a bar with open bar counter, where guests can lounge with a craft cocktail and overlook the famous Prinsengracht canal.

Andaz Amsterdam Prinsengracht has a Spa & Fitness centre where guests can enjoy a massage and make use of the 24-hour gym. Other facilities of the hotel include bike rental, boat tours, valet parking and a babysitting service and event spaces.

The Rijksmuseum, Moco Museum and the Anne Frank House are all within 15-minute walk from the hotel. The Vondelpark is a 10-minute walk away. The Leidseplein, known for its many bars and clubs, is 400 metres from the hotel.

Restaurant & Bar – From the 25th of September 2021 onwards. Breakfast will be served only for hotel guests. Drinking & Dining for lunch and dinner is allowed upon showing a valid ID and COVID-19 QR-code on the CoronaCheck App or European equivalent, as a proof of vaccination, recovery or negative test result within 24 hours. But old fashioned tourists and people used to classical 5-star treatment will find it sub par, especially when you factor in their daily rates. The staff are friendly and courteous. The atrium garden is ill kept but the rooms are comfortable. Was it a bad experience? No. Will I go there again? No.

I like the fact it is a pet-friendly hotel. (with additional fee of €45) The staffs were very friendly. The parking (valet-parking) costs €65/24hours.

It is also right by a tram station which can be useful. The hotel is beautifully decorated with a great theme throughout the lobby, bathrooms, bedrooms etc. The food was also quite good, room service was efficient, cleaning was great, staff is nice.
