Located on 15 acres of Mokapu Beach, Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort boasts 4 outdoor infinity pools, 2 restaurants and a full-service spa. Free WiFi is provided.

A private balcony, 40-inch flat-screen cable satellite TV, a minibar with complimentary non-alcoholic drinks and snacks, and coffee machine are included in each guest room. An en suite bathroom with bathrobes and rain shower are also offered. Suites offer a separate living room area. Villas offer a kitchen and a private hot tub or plunge pool.

Iron Chef’s Masaharu Morimoto’s restaurant, Morimoto Maui, features Japanese and American fusion cuisine and specialty cocktails using fresh, local ingredients. Two poolside bars are available, as is room service.

Not only was the location amazing, with access to a large private beach, pools and expansive poolside decks, we could access all this directly from our room’s balcony. Also had free laundry available, lots of activities like music/luaus at night, hula & ukulele lessons, photography sessions, and just so many perks included. We used the valet parking which was $45 per day, but the staff were so quick and responsive and also gave us lots of advice on where to go. If you don’t have a car, it might be a little hard to access. All the staff were amazing, friendly, and really helpful. My husband and I came here for our honeymoon and can’t recommend it enough.

The series of stacked pools (I think like 5-6) are beautiful and the landscaping wonderful. The food at the bar (pork belly and fries) was really some of the best hotel food we have ever eaten. The beach is lovely, has a private feeling, and had great snorkeling and fun to walk along (going south you can get to the Wailea Mall). There is less commercialization here than in Kaanapali so felt like I had the whole place to myself. (The sea scooters meet in Wailea-very easy and lots of fun). There are some coffee places and eateries in Wailea but mostly restaurants are based in the resorts and very expensive and not as good as local fare. Sorry, the Morimotos at the Andaz was overpriced and not amazing. Same for Ko at the Fairmont. We had amazing ethnic food outside of area in Kihei (Izakaya Gembe -most amazing pork belly, tempura, sashimi, udon, gyoza, grilled fish- eat everything here!!; Cafe Moon- fusion Korean (lovely Kim bap), and Vietnamese Cuisine (amazing red curry, pad Thai and spring rolls).
