The valet staff was great and took excellent care of my dog in the rain. Its a long story. The room service delivery staff was excellent. The new landscaping is environmentally sensitive and gorgeous. I love walking my dog through the new cactus garden to the arroyo behind hotel.

S Rating: 3 2021-11-16 Sad ending to an otherwise fun trip The property was on the whole very clean. I especially liked the fluffy towels and the comfortable beds and pillows. The Renatas Hearth was spectacular, from the friendly efficiency, from Jackie our server, the wonderful tasty food and the complex layers of our delicious cocktails. The desert was fabulous as well. The pools were fun and the adult pool bar service, drinks and food were awesome. The grounds and the hotel were beautiful.

Moji Rating: 1 2020-01-20 Poor Upon arrival, there was no water in our room but No one bothered to let us know. We only realized after using the bathroom and learning there is no water in the room. When we called the reception, we were told they knew we had no water and did not expect to have running water for another hour or two. I understand emergency water shut offs happen but they could have told us about this before we were sent to our room and were faced with humiliation of using the bathroom and later realizing there is no water and we had to wait about 2 hours before water was stored. The following day, the elevators to our room did not work for several hours. There was no sign to say where the emergency exit was or the stairs or how to get to our rooms. We decided to leave and go get a meal, hoping they would be working upon our return. But hours later, we returned to still having no elevators. We were on the 4 floor and my husband had bad hips so he could not climb 4 floors up. We tried to use the lobby phone to get help, but it had no informative guide as to how to reach the front desk. The phone just rang out. We had to walk back to the lobby and we were told the elevators should be working now and that the engineers had assured her of this fact. She was going to send us back but given our experience, we asked her to go with us so that she can assist further if they were still not working. She agreed to walk back to the lobby with us to prove her point but she was embarrassed to learn the engineers had lied to her and that indeed the elevators were not working. The engineer was called in by the manager who stood there, looked us in our eyes and flat out lied and said they were working which was a joke. This lie upset me even more to stand there , witness the non working elevators and still claim they were working. So when I asked the engineer to explain how they are working, his answer was “the engineer is working inside the cabin,” which is a far stretch from the elevators...
