We loved our room and mostly private balcony (note, not every balcony has privacy due to the layout of the cliffside) Ive attached a photo of the view we took in every day. It was the most gorgeous thing to wake up to and we miss it. This is room #9 (superior plunge pool room). The amenities were much appreciated as well. We CANNOT say enough about the high level of service and kindness of the associates at this establishment. We leaned heavily on the reception to guide us during our stay, and every direction they pointed us in was spot on. The location of this particular Canaves is great (there are at least two others). Its just far enough away from the main drag downtown Oia that you dont have the big crowds from the buses that drop off the daily cruise ship passengers. It actually made a big difference for us. For others, Im sure this wouldnt matter. If we ever make it back to this part of the world, I will be coming back to take that view in again.

Best time of the year to visit - during the Greek Orthodox Easter break at the end of April when its not too hot nor too crowded. The rooms were comfortable, clean, spacious, with that amazingly beautiful, uninterrupted Caldera view, some days sunny and blue, others misty and mysterious! The breakfast was always freshly made and delicious! The service was top class: fast, efficient, friendly, always with a smile!
