Stay in the heart of Montreux.
Built in 1870 by Eugène Jost, this recently renovated Belle-Époque hotel is located in the heart of Montreux on the shore of Lake Geneva and right across from Montreux Train Station. It offers a restaurant with a lake-view terrace and free WiFi in all areas.

All rooms at Grand Hôtel Suisse Majestic, Autograph Collection feature air conditioning, a flat-screen TV and a minibar, and many of them have a balcony or a terrace.

The restaurant 45 Grill & Health offers seasonal, locally inspired cuisine and a wide selection of international and local wines. Guests can enjoy a cocktail at the bar, which features a terrace during summer and a winter garden in winter. A selection of cigars and fine spirits are offered in the cigar lounge.

A fitness room with hammam and sauna, a business corner and laundry services are also available to guests.

The train station of Montreux is just opposite the Grand Hôtel Suisse Majestic, and there is easy access by car as well. A few steps away you can find the steamboat landing stage, the congress centre and the shopping area.

The room was lovely, great view of the lake, clean and well appointed. Also, the tram to Castle Chillon is very close by.

The bed was the most comfortable yet. We could only stay one night but we wished we could have stayed longer. The walk along the lake is beautiful. Check-in and check-out were quick and efficient. The train station is across the street.

Thomas Rating: 4 2022-09-26 Luxury Hotel Right Next to Railway This hotel is literally across the street from Montreux’s major rail station, where the Golden Pass concludes from Zweisimmen. The lakeside rooms face the opposite direction so we could not hear the trains, thankfully. The staff were very responsive and also very kind and accommodating. It’s all around a very nice, very fancy hotel.

I would just say don’t pay extra for breakfast as you can go next d It’s a great old hotel that is directly across the street from the train station which makes it a perfect location for day trips and train usage. It has been recently renovated and it’s beautiful. Room was a Lakeview junior suite with a balcony. Air conditioning is very important to me and they probably have the Best air conditioning in Montreux!

The terrace had a lovely view of the lake..sadly there were so many pigeons it was not very comfortable eating outside as they were sometimes even on the tables.. Considering that pigeons carry disease I think they need to adress that. They could also consider lowering their coffee prices.. 14 francs for 2 coffees is really taking advantage. I have never paid that not even at the most expensive 5 star hotel in Zermatt. Otherwise we were happy with our stay. The food was good and lots of choice for breakfast. Staff were very friendly.
