The bed was very comfortable and I had 3 nights of very good sleep there. The staff was super kind and friendly. The location of the hotel could be described as at least superb.

Walking distance to everywhere you might want to visit as well as being close to many bus lines and tram lines either in front of the hotel or a few hundred feet around the corner. Truly fabulous if you want to visit not only tourist attractions but get a sense of the city and its lovely amenities and architecture. Île de Nantes is a must see for its amazing revival. The giant elephant is a delight for adults and children alike. A less than 10 minute tram ride away.

Ernst Rating: 2 2021-11-02 Pleasant Hotel La Perouse is right in the center of Nantes, well connected to public transportation (e. g. to/from airport and train station) and most things are in walking distance. Staff has been friendly and helpful. However, for a 4 star rated hotel the rooms and other items are a bit run down and would benefit froma a makeover. Room and bath were pretty large, but desk and chairs were small and uncomfortable to do work on. Room was clean, but a used towel was left in the room. The shade was strange (had to be mounted on the window manually). There was some noise from the outside. I did not use the breakfast option as it was expensive (€17) and a coffee and croissant was available at the boulangerie next door.
