I spoke to a gentleman at the front desk that was not interested in helping but finally offered a room credit that did not appear on my bill.

My kids loved the water park it was not too crowded in the water and short lines to the slides. Loved the shoppes and Starbucks, game room and gym On site.

Charles Rating: 4 2022-07-13 Exceptional service at a very enjoyable place to visit I took my wife for a 50th anniversary get away. She loved the pools and the lazy river. We both agreed that the lazy river was the best we have seen. There were lounge chairs for everyone, they supplied tubes and towels to use, (unlike a place we went to where you had to buy there tube to use the lazy river) and the facilities were not over crowded. The room was large, clean and comfortable the view good and the staff was exceptional in that they were very friendly and wanted to please you. The food and drinks were outstanding but costly. The best restaurant 18 Oaks prices compared favorably to any top steak house but the other restaurants were overpriced in my opinion. I know that hotels always charge more than stand alone restaurants but items like hamburgers and bar drinks were 30% over what I would have expected. But the service in every place we ate in the resort was exceptional this made the cost bearable and kept us from trying to go elsewhere to eat or ordering food delivery which the resort allowed. We were surprised by but happy to see the number of families with babies and small children. The resort was prepared to handle them. We are talking about returning again and bringing other family members with us. I highly recommend JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa. An exceptional place to visit for adults and families with children. Please note we didnt try the gulf courses as the temperature was over 100 degrees the days we were there but we went to enjoy the water attractions and they and the staffs friendly attention were outstanding.

However, they were able to put us in a larger room with a king bed and brought in 2 roll away cots - they were not the most comfortable but at least we had more space in the larger room.

The food was very good downstairs, and I really liked that they always had something going on for the kids todo even after they exhausted the pool.
