The Ritz-Carlton Bacara, Santa Barbara
Adjacent to the Sandpiper golf course, this Santa Barbara resort boasts beautiful ocean views, an outdoor pool and on-site dining. All guest rooms include a private patio with a view.
At the The Ritz-Carlton Bacara, Santa Barbara, all en suite rooms include a TV. Comfortably furnished, all rooms feature a seating area. Bathrobes and slippers are provided.
A variety of dining options are available at the The Ritz-Carlton Bacara, Santa Barbara. Bistro offers Californian dishes in a casual environment. Signature cocktails are available at the O Bar + Kitchen. Angel Oak is a modern steak and seafood restaurant.
Guests can also unwind at the on-site fitness centre. There are also tennis courts and hiking trails on-site. The property hosts one of the largest spas on the west coast with added features like an adults-only pool and a rooftop terrace.
There is also a meeting area for guests on business.
Santa Barbara city centre is 13 miles away from the resort. The Santa Barbara Mission is 18 minutes’ drive away.

- Daily 1-hour yoga class for 2 people (equipment provided)

An absolute dream of a first family vacation Staff attentiveness was EXCELLENT, shout out to concierge jayme! Painting and Pinot was so fun, we’re not typically “activity people” but it was wonderful and everywhere we went everyone was suuuuuuper accommodating of our 6 month old!! Had a relaxing and memorable time in a spectacular setting and cannot wait to stay there again. We appreciated the implementation of all CoVid protocol so always felt safe. We did take out for dinner. Delicious food and presentation. The room was wonderful - balcony was spacious with comfortable chairs and table so could dine al fresco, bathtub was situated so you could soak & watch TV at the same time. And there was a fireplace too! All the little details were great. Wanted a quick getaway from LA before the impending shutdown and could not have had a better time. The pool was spectacular, and access to the beach was one of the best features. We had a lovely sunset with some special wine. And the entire staff was so gracious, welcoming and accommodating. Wish I could have stayed forever!! |

Not so good experience at Angel Oak We were lucky to get one of the best rooms closest to the beach. Great privacy and could enjoy access to the beach. Absolutely gorgeous property with all amenities available. The front desk manager was great as well as other staff in the property that helped us during the stay. Hands down one of the best resorts with a private beach just for the guests. |

We were not happy at all and I don’t think we would return there again. Room smelled awful, we expressed our complaint, they sent a guy to spray it, but that didn’t help and we couldn’t sleep all night from the smell. It smelled like urine and the carpet was also dirty, maybe a dog urinated in he room, possibly the carpet. We were supposed to get a call from them and we never did. Not happy at all. |

Worth the hype. There was always a Bellboy ready, fast service when you need a ride around, extremely polite, fast valet, fast service and friendly. The lobby is always clean and open for helping check in/out. Valet always has guys ready to help. Landscape and grounds are clean and tidy. All workers were very polite always offering water and working hard. I only stayed 1 night and didnt have enough time to experience all the amenities. A 2nd night would be a complete experience. Room suite is clean as well. Thank you. |

Overall, a very pleasant experience and wonderful get away destination from LA esp during COVID. The Ritz-Carlton Baccara is a beautiful resort well situated on the cliffs above Goleta beach . Staff was very friendly and professional. My only complaint is that food and beverage anywhere on the property was outrageously expensive. A cup of coffee, latte and parfait cost $35. A light dinner for 4 at the pool bar was $200. Having said that, you are at a Ritz-Carlton and the food especially at Angel Oak was delicious! |

The Ritz lost glitz - as pandemic creates pandemonium with the Ritz Bacara Service Staff. Dinner, lunch and pool and pool service. Also, Brandon in customer service. The spa was also excellent.
